By accessing and using Substop, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our service.
1. What Substop Is
Substop is a subscription finder tool that analyzes bank statements to identify recurring payments and subscriptions. We offer a free preview that shows your potential monthly and yearly savings (with subscriptions blurred), and a one-time paid unlock that reveals the full analysis. We're a small indie project built to help people save money – nothing more, nothing less.
2. Payment
The full analysis is unlocked with a one-time payment of $3.99. This is not a subscription (that would be ironic). Once you pay, you get: number of detected subscriptions, potential monthly and yearly savings in your local currency, ability to filter by category and country of origin, links to each service for easy management, ability to download your report as PDF, and the ability to run multiple scans as needed. All prices include applicable taxes.
3. Supported Countries
Our service is optimized for Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Finland, Iceland, Germany, and the United States. We plan on expanding to more countries, but currently the service is designed and tested for these regions. By making a payment, you confirm that you are using the service from one of these supported countries. We cannot offer refunds for purchases made from unsupported countries, as payment processing fees make this costly for us as a small indie project.
4. Refunds
Since we deliver digital results immediately after payment, we generally don't offer refunds. However, if something went wrong on our end – a technical glitch, the scan failed, or you got charged twice – just reach out and we'll make it right.
5. Your Responsibilities
Only upload bank statements that belong to you or that you have explicit permission to analyze. Don't try to abuse the service, reverse-engineer it, or use it for anything illegal. Pretty straightforward.
6. Account Termination
If you abuse the service, try to game the system, or violate these terms, we reserve the right to terminate your account without warning. We're a small team and don't have time for bad actors.
7. No Guarantees
Substop is provided 'as is'. Our system uses probabilistic matching, so 100% accuracy is not always possible. Banks format statements differently, and some subscriptions are harder to detect than others. We do our best to identify subscriptions accurately, but we can't guarantee we'll catch everything. Check our performance page for actual accuracy metrics and what you can expect. Use our results as a helpful starting point, not financial advice.
8. Our Stuff
Substop, including our name, logo, design, and code, is our intellectual property. Don't copy, replicate, or create knockoff versions of our service. Don't scrape our content or pretend to be us. The Substop brand and trademark belong to us.
9. Changes to Terms
We might update these terms occasionally. If we make significant changes, we'll note it on the website. Continuing to use Substop after changes means you accept the updated terms.
10. Liability
We're an indie project doing our best. We're not liable for any indirect damages from using (or not being able to use) Substop. Our maximum liability is limited to what you paid us.
